Where Mastery
Begins.
At Ysaÿe Music Studio, we go beyond notes and grades. Under the personal guidance of conservatory-trained violinist Lin Ying-Chu, students develop technique, artistry, and the quiet confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Lin Ying-Chu
Founder & Violinist

Every student is a unique individual. I tailor my teaching to suit each student’s strengths and challenges, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where no child is left behind in their musical journey.
Yong Siew Toh Conservatory (NUS). Mentored by Qian Zhou. Singapore Violin Festival 2018–2020. Teaching since 2014.
I do not teach music as something to be completed. I teach it as something to be lived.
Music, in my classroom, is not a checklist of songs passed or pieces finished. It is a slow, deliberate unfolding — a journey measured not by applause, but by awareness. I am less interested in how quickly a student arrives at the end of a piece, and more interested in who they become while learning it.
I place no urgency on arrival. Instead, I guide students to look back — to see how far their hands have come, to recognize how their ears have changed, to feel the difference between who they were and who they are becoming.
Music, in my teaching, is a quiet companion. It does not demand. It stays beside. It reflects. It deepens.
A child who plays a single phrase with care has already arrived somewhere meaningful.

The Pillars of Musical Mastery
More Than Music
Stage Confidence
Regular recitals and performances build the poise and self-assurance that carries into every aspect of life.
Discipline & Focus
The daily practice of mastering an instrument develops concentration, patience, and resilience.
Creative Expression
Music gives children a language beyond words — a way to express emotions and ideas with depth and beauty. In an age of AI, human creativity is the one thing that cannot be replicated.
Character & Growth
The journey of learning music — the breakthroughs and the setbacks — builds grit, humility, and a growth mindset that serves every area of life.
Performances & Events
Our students perform at an annual recital and are prepared for competitions throughout the year. Stage experience is where practice meets purpose.
